The Garmin Forerunner 210 is my first running watch. The 210 is an entry level GPS watch thats simple and easy to use. It has the standard Pace, Time and Distance all displayed on one screen. The watch fits really nice on my wrist and you don’t even remember your wearing it while running. It allows you to see your stats without having to click buttons or search through screens. It lacks a heart rate monitor (I think you can get an add-on HRM)) or advance history tracking. I didn’t do a whole lot of research before buying this watch but I’ve been very happy with it. I was travelling in Italy and couldn’t use my iPhone to track my stats while running so I thought it would be handy to have a GPS watch. It’s improved my training tremendously and gave me the ability to track my runs better.
The only complaint I have about the watch is the battery life seems to be poor. It only last one or two runs before it needs to be charged. It has only been an issue a few times when I’ve forgot to charge it and had it die part way through a run. I’ve learned to live with it.
I would recommend this watch for the new runner that doesn’t want/need any fancy features.
